Description

This template (LoMP+M+J) combines three links for a specific numbered minor planet object into a single template—namely, an internal link to the list of minor planets {{LoMP}}, as well as two external links to the Minor Planet Center {{MPC}} and to the JPL Small Body Database {{JPL}}. This template can be used for referencing entries in minor-planet listings. The only required, unnamed parameter is the number of the object. By default, the three links are separated by a break tag (<br />) and the label of the LoMP-link displays "catalog".

Usage

Example

This example is an excerpt from the List of trans-Neptunian objects

Object Discovery year Place Discoverers Diameter Class Reference
15760 Albion 1992 Mauna Kea D. C. Jewitt
J. X. Luu
168 km cubewano (cold)
  1. REDIRECT Template:Minor planet list link

MPC
JPL
19521 Chaos 1998 Kitt Peak M. W. Buie 600 km cubewano (hot)
  1. REDIRECT Template:Minor planet list link

MPC
JPL
  • {{LoMP+M+J|15760}} produces the following three links in the "Ref"-column for the object 15760 Albion:
  1. link
  2. REDIRECT Template:Minor planet list link

points to the corresponding entry in the list of minor planets

  1. link MPC points to the corresponding object page at the Minor Planet Center's website
  2. link JPL points to the corresponding object page at the JPL Small Body Database
  • while {{LoMP+M+J|19521}} produces three links for the object 19521 Chaos
