This template expands a name to link to the appropriate [[Manchester Metrolink]] station article, without displaying "Metrolink station".

The template can be abbreviated as {{tl|mls}} (for '''M'''etro'''l'''ink '''S'''tation).

For example:

<code><nowiki>{{MLstation|St Peter's Square}}</nowiki></code> expands to <code><nowiki>[[St Peter's Square Metrolink station|St Peter's Square]]</nowiki></code>.

Discretion should be used on whether to name the place itself or the station that serves it. In railway articles it is generally preferred to use the station unless specifically talking about the place, for example that {{MLstation|St Peter's Square}} serves [[St Peter's Square, Manchester|St Peter's Square]].

Almost all Manchester Metrolink stations follow the link form of terminating with "Metrolink station".
