Usage

This template is designed to collect information, which is used in several articles, in one location. The 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup group tables are shown on the overall Gold Cup article, as well as the articles for each Group, if not other articles as well. This template should replace the need to update the same information on several articles.

In article

To add this table to an article, type {{2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group A table}}.

Editing

Until the tournament starts, the order of teams and the |update= and |start_date= parameters should not be changed. Once the tournament starts, remove the |start_date= parameter and set |update= to the appropriate date.

During tournament

After each group round match, update the table and ensure the order of teams and the |update= parameter are also updated. For example:

What you type
{{#invoke:Sports table|main|style=WDL
|update=30 October 2014 |source=FEEFUH
|teamwidth=200 |only_pld_pts={{{only_pld_pts}}} |template_name=2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group A table

To change the order of the teams, set |team1= to the team in first place in the group, |team2= to the team in second place, etc. The order of data entry does not need to be changed. The status of a team can also be set during the group stage if the outcome is known:

  • If a team will definitely advance, set |status_XXX=A
  • If a team will definitely finish third or better, set |status_XXX=T
  • If a team will definitely finish fourth, set |status_XXX=E
  • Otherwise, leave |status_XXX= blank

After group stage

When the group is complete, set |update=complete, |status_XXX=A for the top two teams, |status_XXX=T for the third place team, and |status_XXX=E for the fourth place team. After all three groups are complete, change the |status_XXX=T and |result3=3rd parameters as follows:

Result Parameters
Team advances |status_XXX=A and |result3=KO
Team eliminated |status_XXX=E and remove |result3=3rd

After tournament complete

After the tournament is complete, remove |status_XXX=A and |status_XXX=E across all groups, as the outcome of the group stage is evidenced by the row color and the last column. Leave |status_USA=H in place.

Display options

If a smaller displayed table is desired, the parameter |only_pld_pts= can be defined in the template call to display only the position, team, games played, and points columns. This display may be desired when multiple groups must be displayed, but the full details are not required. Valid values of |only_pld_pts= to display a truncated table are 1, yes, y, true, and t. For example:

What you type
{{2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Group A table|only_pld_pts=true}}
