- ... that when Constantin Cantacuzino (pictured) was made Caimacam of Wallachia, his own son shouted in protest? Albini, pp. 147–148: Membrii deputațiunii din partida revoluționară începură să murmure, ba chiar fiul noului Caimacam, Ioan C. Cantacuzino, strigă din mulțimea deputaților: «Tată, nu primì asemenea slujbe!» ("Members of the revolutionary party delegation began mumbling, and even the son of the new Caimacam, Ioan [sic] C. Cantacuzino, shouted out from the mass of delegates: 'Father, do not accept this sort of offices!'")
