The hook is referenced by two sources, the owner's of the pub (so not an independent website, not usable for claims about themselves if controversial), and a City of London pdf, a good source, written by people who should knwo their stuff: but sadly, that second source claims "[...] the Magpie Ale House which stood on the corner of Fenchurch Street by 1645 - likely to be the same location sa the present day East India Arms Public House". So not only is it only "likely" the same site, but the source never claims 1630, but 1645. Fram (talk) 14:29, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- I'd actually be willing to pull that one if you want, as I translated this from the German article after running into it after Wikimania, so it would be no loss if you think that should be pulled. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 04:19, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
