Notes:
  1. Red Bull Salzburg qualified for the Europa League third qualifying round by winning the 2015–16 Austrian Cup. Their awarded qualification spot as cup winners was passed down the league as they had already qualified for European competition based on their league position.
  2. Grödig would have been relegated to the Austrian Football First League, but withdrew their application for First League licence.[1]
