Template:Chess
Revision as of 02:32, 23 June 2020 by imported>Randy Kryn (Undid good faith edit, the template is well organized and is only really seen by those who want to stop and look at it. It's a good map of Wikipedia's chess collection, and is not enormous in comparison with some reference sections. Being at the bottom of the pages it probably still creates interest in readers, and because not many will click on it if collapsed so keeping it open on most pages transmits a great deal of information for those who explore it.)
Usage
Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse
To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:
|state=collapsed:{{Chess|state=collapsed}}to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar|state=expanded:{{Chess|state=expanded}}to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible|state=autocollapse:{{Chess|state=autocollapse}}
If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse.
Note to editors on how to manage spelling
- Use
{{Chess|sp=us}}to use US spelling (color and defense).
