Purpose

This template enables the citation of articles from the Wikisource project Collier's New Encyclopedia using {{cite wikisource}}.

Usage

{{Cite Collier's|put the name of the article here}}

or with a specification of the optional author, display, vb or noicon:

{{Cite Collier's|put the name of the article here|display=displayed article name|author=author name|noicon=x|vb=x}}

Using vb

If text is incorporated verbatim into an article, the vb parameter can be used to tack on a notice appropriate to the policy in Wikipedia:Plagiarism.

Using long

If a shorter citation is desired, the long option can be used. For example:

{{Cite Collier's|Jackson, Andrew|long=no}}

displays as:

public domain Rines, George Edwin, ed. (1920). Encyclopedia Americana. Unknown parameter |long= ignored (help); Missing or empty |title= (help)

Long can be set to n, no, 0 or x to trigger the short form of the citation. The long form is used as default. All non-automated items entered into the template will be displayed whether or not the long option is specified.
