Usage

This template must be substituted. Unfortunately it either must be used just after a <ref>...</ref> or must be substituted first then at the end of the <ref>...</ref> tags' marked up content, since the tags thwart the ability of MediaWiki to act on subst: for some reason.

This is a customized instance of {{Clarify}}, that templates the once tedious task of flagging badly done reference citations. It also automatically includes the date.

The code in the article will then read:

{{Clarify|date=January 2010|reason=<nowiki>This is not a proper reference citation. Use [[Template:Cite web]] or similar to provide source details. Use <ref...> inline in the article (see [[WP:CITE]]) to source the specific facts provided by this reference.</nowiki>}}
