HAT, AKT, PT, MT, CT, ET, AT, NT

  • DST begins on the second Sunday in March at 2 a.m. local standard time and ends on the first Sunday in November at 2 a.m. local daylight saving time ([1][2][3]).
  • The used formulas to calculate the dates can be found at [4].
    • They are valid through 2099.
    • Note that the remainders of divisions are discarded (the number should be rounded down to the nearest integer that does not exceed the outcome).
The remainder is automatically discarded by the mod operator.
  • 2 a.m. HAST, AKST, PST, MST, CST, EST, AST and NST is 12:00, 11:00, 10:00, 9:00, 8:00, 7:00, 6:00 and 5:30 UTC respectively.
  • 2 a.m. HADT, AKDT, PDT, MDT, CDT, EDT, ADT and NDT is 11:00, 10:00, 9:00, 8:00, 7:00, 6:00, 5:00 and 4:30 UTC respectively.

WET, CET, EET

  • DST begins on the last Sunday in March at 1:00 UTC and ends on the last Sunday in October at 1:00 UTC ([5]).
  • The used formulas to calculate the dates can be found at [6].
    • They are valid through 2099.
    • Note that the remainders of divisions are discarded (the number should be rounded down to the nearest integer that does not exceed the outcome).
The remainder is automatically discarded by the mod operator.

ACT, AET

  • DST begins on the first Sunday in October at 2 a.m. local standard time and ends on the first Sunday in April at 3 a.m. local daylight saving time ([7][8][9]).
  • The used formulas to calculate the dates have been derived from the formulas at [10].
    • They are valid through 2099.
    • Note that the remainders of divisions are discarded (the number should be rounded down to the nearest integer that does not exceed the outcome).
The remainder is automatically discarded by the mod operator.
  • Since at 2 a.m. local time it is still the previous day at UTC time, 10 hours are added to the dates to get the correct local date at the time of DST transition.
    • This is not necessary for the year, since the year does not change in the months where DST begins and ends.
  • 2 a.m. ACST and AEST is 16:30 and 16:00 UTC (previous day) respectively, thus a difference of 9:30 and 10:00 hours respectively.
  • 3 a.m. ACDT and AEDT is 2 a.m. ACST and AEST is 16:30 and 16:00 UTC (previous day) respectively, thus a difference of 9:30 and 10:00 hours respectively.

NZT

  • DST begins on the last Sunday in September at 2 a.m. local standard time and ends on the first Sunday in April at 3 a.m. local daylight saving time ([11]).
  • The used formulas to calculate the dates have been derived from the formulas at [12].
    • They are valid through 2099.
    • Note that the remainders of divisions are discarded (the number should be rounded down to the nearest integer that does not exceed the outcome).
The remainder is automatically discarded by the mod operator.
  • Since at 2 a.m. local time it is still the previous day at UTC time, 12 hours are added to the dates to get the correct local date at the time of DST transition.
    • This is not necessary for the year, since the year does not change in the months where DST begins and ends.
  • 2 a.m. NZST is 14:00 UTC (previous day), thus a difference of 12:00 hours.
  • 3 a.m. NZDT is 2 a.m. NZST is 14:00 UTC (previous day), thus a difference of 12:00 hours.
