Template:Speedy deletion templates
This template is used to tag pages for speedy deletion under the speedy deletion criteria, specifically CSD U1. There is a separate template for each criterion – see the table to the right.
This template places the page into the categories: Candidates for speedy deletion, and Candidates for speedy deletion by user.
Usage
The template should be placed at the top of the page to be deleted.
Parameters
{{db-u1}}
- This is the most basic form of the template.
{{db-u1|bot=ExampleBot}}
- Bot accounts will specify the
|bot=parameter to notify the reviewing admin that the page was tagged by an automated process.
{{db-u1|diff=Diff#}}
- Where Diff# is a diff showing where the user requested deletion. This is obviously not required if the user places the template, or if the deletion request is on the listed page.
{{db-u1|rationale=Additional explanation}}
- The "rationale" parameter allows specifying an additional explanation for the request.
CSS and Javascript pages
To request the deletion of a CSS or JavaScript page – a page in User: space whose name ends with .css or .js – use the following format:
/* {{db-u1}} */
The deletion message will not be displayed, but the page will be categorised into Category:Candidates for speedy deletion by user, where an administrator will be able to find it.
