Abortion in Lithuania

  • ... that despite 84 percent of Lithuanians supporting abortion, the government is taking steps towards banning it?

  • 16px Most things check out. My one concern is whether or not these "steps towards banning it" have progressed in the four months since the source was published - is the article still sufficiently up-to-date? Additional and recent sources may be difficult to come by. violet/riga [talk] 20:33, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
  • 16px I would rather not have the exact figure on the main page without at least some hedging; see talk page for details. QVVERTYVS (hm?) 18:46, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
  • 16px I've just pinged Thine Antique Pen for a response, though without much hope as it's been a full month since TAP's last edit. I think the article could use a copyedit. The hook might be finessed by adding "a poll showing" after "despite", but I think the sweeping use of "the government" in the hook and article is not warranted by the source: that usually refers to the prime minister and other ministers, while the source only mentions it being introduced by a minority party in parliament, and while it passed the parliament initially, there's no indication that the current government is actively supporting it. (I'd also like those more recent sources violet/riga was asking for.) If there isn't action soon, I don't think we'll have any choice but to close the nomination as unsuccessful. • 16px Insufficient progress toward resolving outstanding issues. Nominator has been away from Wikipedia for over a month with no indication as to when he might return. --Allen3 talk 13:29, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
