  • NOT a review, but the hook is too long. How about: alt 1 ... that alligator gars (pictured) are living fossils that can breathe both air and water?
  • Symbol possible vote.svg Interesting article, but none of the supplied sources appear to use the term "living fossil". Gatoclass (talk) 12:41, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Comment - added citation for term "living fossil" AtsmeConsult 06:15, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
Hmmm, that's not from someone with expertise in the field, got anything better? Gatoclass (talk) 14:02, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
This should do? (I won't put it in the article because I hate formatting citations; hate it, hate it, hate it [stamps feet]) Belle (talk) 14:21, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Template:Od lots of references...I'm on cell phone til tonight, or would recite now. Found many, including Freshwater Fishes of North America: Volume 1: Petromyzontidae to Catostomidae edited by Melvin L. Warren, Jr., Brooks M. Burr AtsmeConsult 19:12, 16 July 2014 (UTC)

Added proper citation regarding reference to "living fossils". Ready to go. AtsmeConsult 04:47, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

Symbol confirmed.svg GA'd recently enough. No copyvio or plagiarism detected. No close-paraphrasing except where unavoidable or attributed in-line. Citations where citations should be. Hook cited. Neutral. QPQ not required (I think). ALT struck as original hook was amended. Picture is indistinct at this size but that's never stopped a prep-builder picking one in the past. (Some cracking easter egg links redirected to the correct destinations and an error pointed out on the talk page.) Belle (talk) 09:56, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
