Cardiff Ely bread riots
- ... that in 1991, residents of Ely in Cardiff rioted over the sale of bread? Source: BBC News WalesOnline
- Reviewed: Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations
- Comment: The actual reasoning goes a bit deeper, but this is an attempt at more intriguing hook to promote interest. Happy to change it if necessary.

Date and length fine. I do like the hook and would be happy to approve it, however Template:Ping could I ask if the "price of bread" claim could be more clear in the article before I can approve it? QPQ is needed. No close paraphrasing. Once these are done, ping me and I'll take another look? The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 12:13, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
- Template:Re I've edited the hook slightly, changing price to sale of bread, to better reflect the article as adding a price angle to the prose would probably be pushing the boundaries of the sources. QPQ added also. Kosack (talk) 21:04, 8 March 2020 (UTC)
Much better now. QPQ done. Good to go. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 16:08, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
