Giovanni Antonio da Brescia

Laocoon Group, engraving
... that Giovanni Antonio da Brescia probably made the first print of the Laocoon Group (pictured), excavated in Rome in 1506?:Source: The statue was discovered in 1506. The engraving shows it reversed, before the restoration of the right arm, and is probably the earliest print of the group. British MuseumALT1:... that the Italian engraver Zoan Andrea produced prints until about 1506, but ceased to exist in 1992?

- Comment: ALT1 should have a different pic, which I can find.

- Nice article on the artist. Interesting, long enough (7K+). NPOV, fully referenced, no prob with copyvio [1]. Hooks solidly referenced. Image has appropriate license and is a good size. QPQ done. The first hook is the one that really caught my eye, but I wonder if it's a tad confusing (was the print dug up or the sculpture?). Suggest this for clarity and greater interest (+ upgrade spelling of Lacoön). Otherwise good to go! Ultracobalt (talk) 18:58, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
