Liliaceae
- ALT1:... that fossils of the lily family have been found in the Antarctic which date back to the Paleogene and Cretaceous eras?
- Reviewed: Anzu (dinosaur)
Improved to Good Article status by Mgoodyear (talk), Peter coxhead (talk), Shoebox2 (talk). Nominated by AshLin (talk) at 11:50, 23 March 2014 (UTC).
The article was promoted to good status within 5 days of its nomination and it is, of course, well written. However, while both the hook and ALT1 are sourced in the article and short enough, they do not seem that interesting to me, since they are true of lots of plants. I suggest in stead the following hook, which is source in the article.
- ALT2:... when the tulip trade reached Antwerp in Belgium in 1562, they were mistaken as vegetables? I am One of Many (talk) 06:23, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
