Marika Kouno

  • ... that Marika Kouno was inspired to pursue a career in voice acting by Ikue Ōtani, the voice actress of Pikachu? "

Symbol question.svg Solid facts on good sources, Japanese sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The article is safely long enough, so I suggest a bit of trimming, - no prerequisite for a pass, just suggestions:
  • "she was fond of reading, and she liked to read aloud", besides that the info is not tremendously interesting - you may loose your readers - it's repetitious.
  • "She first became interested" - and second?
  • Do we have a year for the "aspiring"?
  • I'd drop all these "would", - she did it, or not?
  • "She also participated in other activities such as playing basketball." - "She also played basketball."??
  • "After her graduation, she enrolled in a training school to hone her skills." - what else do you enter a training school for than to hone your skills?
  • No need to repeat training school the next sentence.
  • I'd like links for "music unit" and "idoö unit" - no idea what that means, unfamiliar with the topic, - or is it written only for those who know?
Same in the hook: can you avoid the repetition of "voice actress"? For example "who voiced Pikachu"? I prefer the original hook structure, where the topic is upfront. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:45, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
Template:Ping Would you be fine with these formulations then?
As for the content suggestions, unfortunately no year is specified for the aspiring part in the source, it's only mentioned that it was during her early life. I've simplified the "reading" part to focus on the "reading aloud" aspect, which could be said to be foreshadowing to her voice acting career. Basketball was not the only activity that she did other than voice acting, and the wording more-or-less reflected what was mentioned in the source. "First became" is a fairly common construction in English and doesn't necessarily mean there should be a "second" later on. I've replaced all mentions of "unit" with "group" to make things clearer. Any more suggestions? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:43, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
