Preorbital gland
- ... that due to its large preorbital glands, the hirola (Damaliscus hunteri) is often referred to as the "four-eyed antelope"?

Hook is 243 characters long by my count. Other than that: New enough. More than enough prose (great job!). Checked hook: a bit obscure, but is in the references. Checked refs 4, 6, and 10: no copyvio. I'm a little concerned that the first paragraph of "In Cervids" could be WP:Close paraphrasing, but this is not a clear problem.
- Suggested ALT hook ... that due to its large preorbital glands, the hirola (Damaliscus hunteri) is often referred to as the "four-eyed antelope"?

Thanks for your comments, hike395. I have substituted your shorter hook. With respect to your other comment---the text of the original source is quite clear and concise, and conveys the point very well. I have done my best to reword this paragraph, but it has not been easy. DiverDave (talk) 14:57, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
