Private Practice (season 1)
- ... that KaDee Strickland did not audition for the role of Dr. Charlotte King for Private Practice, but was cast after a meeting with producer Shonda Rhimes?Source: "This stuff is so mysterious the way it all comes to pass when you get a job. I took a meeting with Shonda and I didn't know what show it was for or what the character was. I just knew it was a female doctor. We sat down and just really hit it off. A few weeks later, I got a phone call saying Shonda Rhimes would like to offer you the role of Charlotte King."
- ALT1:... that even though Katherine Heigl praised the concept for Private Practice, she wished her character had been chosen for the spin-off instead?Source: That's what I was hoping, actually. When (creator) Shonda (Rhimes) told us there was going to be a spinoff and Kate was going, I was like, "I wanna go. I wanna go do a spinoff, do something new." But I really love the idea of the spinoff; it could be really interesting. And Kate's so fabulous.
- ALT2:that the representation of women in first season of Private Practice was negatively compared to The Bell Jar and William Hogarth's engraving A Surgeon's Progress?Source: "one of the most depressing portrayals of the female condition since The Bell Jar" and "seven stages of womanly despair"
- Reviewed: Billy Douglas (One Life to Live)
- Comment: Image can be changed/removed if either ALT1 or ALT2 is preferred over my original proposal. I am open for comments as I would like to feature this on DYK, but I had trouble finding a strong hook for this list.

Template:U Not sure this image is copyright free, regardless of the creative Commons attribution share alike tag on it. It states very explicitly, with a link, that it was taken from Brentwood Magazine in 2005. The magazine would own the copyright. There is note on the image that it was donated by Brentwood Magazine via email. I would double check on that before using it. — Maile (talk) 14:09, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
- Template:Ping Makes sense to me. I have removed the image as it is admittedly superfluous. Thank you for your response. Aoba47 (talk) 15:30, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
Full review needed now that image issue has been dealt with. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:22, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
