Sir Thomas Byron
Sir Thomas Byron
Sir Thomas Byron
- ... that Sir Thomas Byron (pictured) was killed during the First English Civil War – by one of his own soldiers, over a pay dispute? Source: "Ironically Byron was killed by one of his own soldiers—a Captain Hurst, who attacked him because of a pay dispute" (ODNB)
- Comment: QPQ pending

- 16px Hi Harrias, review follows: article created 6 February; article exceeds minimum length; article is well written and cited inline throughout to reliable sources; there's some similarity with the ODNB, largely in structure but this is probably unavoidable as it is the main source; hook is interesting, mentioned in the article and backed up by the source. I have a couple of comments about the text:
- Is "Clarendon" Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon? If so this could use a link. The lead says Byron was "best known" for his charge at Hopton Heath but the "best known" part isn't mentioned in the main text? Likewise the fact that the charge "helped the Royalists to victory"?
- Otherwise this one looks good to go once you get a QPQ - Dumelow (talk) 19:26, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
