Length fine, age fine, no obvious paraphrasing identified. However the hook relies on p199 of a book which I can only see a snippet of .... however, my understanding from that snippet is that Pepys visited and found it closed due to the plague in 1666 - this is not evidence of "frequenting" I think. Have I missed something? Victuallers (talk) 16:50, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- You're right - I can find no solid evidence either. And the Swan Inn was a common name - it appears that there were two on the Chelsea riverside alone [1]. So, I'll need to come up with a new hook... Edwardx (talk) 18:03, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that Swan House (pictured) in London, a "masterpiece",
is an unusual blend of Queen Anne revival and Arts and Crafts architectural styles?Edwardx (talk) 18:17, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- hmmm.. the article's lede says " it is considered to be either Queen Anne Revival or Arts and Crafts" and then never mentions Arts and Crafts in the main article or offers a reference for this fact. Even if it was reffed this isn't what the hook says. Victuallers (talk) 11:39, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
- * ALT2 ... that Swan House (pictured) has been called the "finest Queen Anne Revival domestic building in London"? I have included the relevant text and citation in the article lede (3rd para).
