The Sirens and Ulysses
- ... that when it was first exhibited in 1837, The Sirens and Ulysses by William Etty (detail pictured) was described as "a disgusting combination of voluptuousness and loathsome putridity"?
- Reviewed: 2015 McDonald's All-American Boys Game
- Comment: A detail included as the image rather than the whole thing, as at mainpage image size the whole painting will be too small to be visible. The three sirens are the main theme of the painting, as well as the voluptuousness in question.
