Editing dots

Wasatch Front, Utah area temples

Due to the number of temples is the Wasatch Front, Utah area, ie the Salt Lake City area, they should not be added to this template. To add information located the "Wasatch Front Area, Utah" section and add temple information to the "notes". To update the status of a Wasatch Front temple located the "Wasatch Front temple Statuses" towards the bottom of the page and update the overall information.

Changing Dot colors (ie. status change)

The dot color is related to the current status of the temple, (ie. Operating temples, Temples under construction, etc.) To change the color of the dot located the temple name and change to color code. For example, to change the Los Angeles California Temple from "under construction" to "Operating" you would change:
from
  {{Image label|x=0.1575|y=0.1388|scale={{{width|1000}}}||text=[[Los Angeles California Temple|<big><big><font color=#CC0000>•]]</font>}}
to
  {{Image label|x=0.1575|y=0.1388|scale={{{width|1000}}}||text=[[Los Angeles California Temple|<big><big><font color=#CC0000>•]]</font>}}

Dot colors codes

Status font color=
Operating temples #CC0000
Under construction #003399
Announced #FFFF33
Closed, destroyed, operated by others, or efforts suspended #000000

Moving Locations (ie X/Y)

X and Y values are always between 0 and 1. They represent the percentages of the width and height respectively where the label will be placed. The exact point is the top-left corner of the image label.

x=0 |y=0 will place the top-left corner of the label at the top-left of the image
x=0 |y=1 will place the top-left corner of the label at the bottom-left of the image
x=1 |y=1 will place the top-left corner of the label at the bottom-right of the image
x=1 |y=0 will place the top-left corner of the label at the top-right of the image
x=0.5|y=0.5 will place the top-left corner of the label at the centre of the image

Width/Scale

All widths must be set to the same number. They must all be the same number for the template to be functionally scalable. This means they can be displayed at a different size by supplying a width parameter to the template when in use. For example, {{List LDS Temple World Map|width=500}} will display the labelled image as a smaller one of 500 pixels in width instead of 1000.

To change the default size, search and replace all occurrences of {{{width|current size}}} with <nowiki>{{{width|new size}}}

Linking Text

The dot label will like to temple page when using the following format.
  text=[[TEMPLE PAGENAME|<big><big><font color=#000000>•]]</font>
