Template:AllMovie name/doc

This is a template used to generate external links to AllMovie (formerly known as All Movie Guide and AllRovi). This template should be used exclusively for a person (actor, director, etc.); to link to films and television series use {{AllMovie title}} instead.

Usage

Unnamed parameters:

• {{AllMovie name|ID}}
• {{AllMovie name|ID|NAME}}

Named parameters:

• {{AllMovie name|id=ID}}
• {{AllMovie name|id=ID|name=NAME}}

Instructions

1. Go to AllMovie and search for the person you want.
2. Click on the correct link to go to the person's page. Be sure you're getting the right person.
3. The page URL should look like this:

   http://www.allmovie.com/artist/firstname-lastname-p#####

   or http://www.allmovie.com/artist/p#####

   where ##### indicates a number

4. Add this text to the External links section:

   * {{AllMovie name|#####|NAME}}

   or * {{AllMovie name|id=#####|name=NAME}}

   where ##### is the number you've copied,

   and NAME is the person's name (default is the article name)

Person

1. For Steven Spielberg, the AllMovie page URL is:

   http://www.allmovie.com/artist/steven-spielberg-p112325

   or http://www.allmovie.com/artist/p112325

2. Copy 112325 and add it to this template, i.e.:

   {{AllMovie name|112325|Steven Spielberg}}

   or {{AllMovie name|id=112325|name=Steven Spielberg}}

3. This will display as:

   Steven Spielberg at AllMovie

Animal

1. For Jiggs (chimpanzee), the AllMovie page URL is:

   http://www.allmovie.com/artist/jiggs-the-monkey-p35624

   or http://www.allmovie.com/artist/p35624

2. Copy 35624 and add it to this template, i.e.:

   {{AllMovie name|35624|Jiggs the Monkey}}

   or {{AllMovie name|id=35624|name=Jiggs the Monkey}}

3. This will display as:

   Jiggs the Monkey at AllMovie

Company

1. For Method Studios, the AllMovie page URL is:

   http://www.allmovie.com/artist/method-studios-p344927

   or http://www.allmovie.com/artist/p344927

2. Copy 344927 and add it to this template, i.e.:

   {{AllMovie name|344927|Method Studios}}

   or {{AllMovie name|id=344927|name=Method Studios}}

3. This will display as:
