Course description
WMST 250 is an introduction to the interdisciplinary field of women’s studies with special focus on the arts and humanities. The course aims to develop your skills in analysing and critiquing cultural texts, particularly their representations of women and their assumptions about gender, race, class, sexuality, and other categories of identity. It also introduces you to the cultural production of a range of women artists from different backgrounds, working in many different mediums and genres. It explores some of the differences among women, as well as connections and affiliations among them as creative workers in the arts.
This assignment in particular will familiarize students with knowledge production and sharing online, placed in context with the historical erasure of women cultural producers.

Article banners
To mark each article the subject of a student project, add the following code at the top of the talk page for each article:
{{ WAP assignment | course = Template:Course page | university = {{{university}}} | term = {{{term}}} | project = {{{project}}} }}
That will result in the following banner (and make the articles easy to track):

Add Your Course's Grading Rubric
The grading rubric tells your students how you will be grading their assignments, and helps ambassadors know what areas to focus on when working with your students.
Clicking the "Add Grading Rubric" button will take you to a page with a sample rubric created by the Wikimedia Foundation. Feel free to modify the rubric as you see fit, use it as-is, or replace it outright.

Add Your Student List
The student list provides a way for students, ambassadors, and other Wikipedians to find students in your class, and get in touch with them if they need. This is also useful for instructors to be able to identify which students have signed up on Wikipedia, and which students have not.
You do not need to know the username of each student now, as they can sign up at any time. Feel free to save the page as-is when you click the "Add Student List" button.

Usage
This template is designed to walk teachers through the creation of a standardized Wikipedia assignment course page, with step by step instructions for building the course page. To begin, the template should be placed on a new subpage of Wikipedia:Ambassadors/Courses, e.g., Wikipedia:Ambassadors/Courses/Example course.
This template takes the following parameters. term and done, at least, should be defined. The others are optional.
- term: the year and quarter in which the course begins. For example, a course beginning in September 2011 would have term = 2011 Q3. This parameter is used for categorizing the course page and the student articles that are tagged with the standard assignment banner.
- university: the university, college or other educational institution for the class, e.g., Georgetown University
- project: the name of a WikiProject focused on topics related to the course, e.g., WikiProject Law
- region: the number of the region in which the course takes place, for United States courses
- done: when done is set to "no", the course page will display a todo list indicating the remaining steps in the course page creation process
The parameters can be added before or after the course page is fully built.
Example
{{course page
|term = 2011 Q3
|university = Georgetown University
|project = WikiProject Law
|region = 6
|done = no
}}
Components
The content of the course page is added to subpages, and the creation of each subsequent subpage triggers instructions for starting the next one. The subpages and related instructions include:
The code for the tabs is in {{Course page/Tabs}}.
