In this course you will learn how to be consumers of information so as to make informed decisions and to assess the decisions made by others. This course emphasizes the basic understanding of how data are organized, summarized and described (descriptive statistics) and how this information is used for managerial decision making. The course will also provide the basic framework for conducting statistical hypothesis testing (inferential statistics), carry out such tests in the context of single and multiple populations (including z- and t-tests, ANOVA, and regression analysis), and show the importance of such tests in decision making. The goal of this course is to broaden the range of your intuition and to enable you to think. (Click to refresh if you've saved the course description but this message still appears.) |
