To avoid constant editing disputes, Wikipedia agreed a compromise solution was proposed in 2004 regarding the Derry/Londonderry name dispute. We use Derry for the city and County Londonderry for the county in article names, and content. Exceptions apply for proper names of organisations and other entities, regardless of whether they use Derry or Londonderry.
