Abu Abdallah ibn al-Hakim

  • The original text doesn't specify that the sultan was blind (he may have simply had poor vision), and we can't really know the mob's motivations. ALT1 is better but not quite right: "while" is ambiguous, and "assassination and "coup d'état" are both misleading. How about ALT2: "... that when an angry mob overran the palace in Granada in 1309, they spared the sultan, but made sure to kill his vizier Abu Abdallah ibn al-Hakim? • Template:Re Thanks for the suggestion and for taking a look. About the blindness, indeed Harvey seems to be more careful to not say "blind", but other cited sources did mention that, e.g. "Muhammad III se quedó ciego y hubo de dejar las riendas del gobierno a su primer ministro" (Rubiera Mata p.111). For the sake of being careful I added an ALT0a above with poor eyesight instead of blind, what do you think? ALT2 is fine too - I tweaked it a little to mention the vizier's name: in order to both increase the prominence of the target article and to avoid the discouraged WP:EASTEREGG.
