Aipysurus fuscus

  • ... that the population of the endangered sea snake Aipysurus fuscus is thought to have declined at least 70% between 1998 and 2013? "Aipysurus fuscus". IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. IUCN. 2010. 2009. Retrieved 20 December 2016.

  • A nice little article. New enough, long enough, citation checks out, good hook. Two recommendations. First, "It is found in Australia, Indonesia and East Timor" seems a little optimistic. Second, perhaps you could use a common name in the hook? I suspect, for readers, "rare coral snake" is more exciting than "rare thingy that could be a mould for all I know". • Template:Ping Both good points. I've changed the lead to read "in the Timor Sea, between Australia...". It turns out this is not actually a coral snake; that bit of text was in the article before, and somehow I did not spot it and correct it. It's a sea snake, from Hydrophiinae, which I've added to the hook. Vanamonde (talk) 05:14, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
