Corybantic Games
- ... that the title of the ballet Corybantic Games is a reference to the Corybants in Greek Mythology, even though the music was inspired by Plato's Symposium? Source: "Not to be confused with Corbynites, the Corybants were the dancing worshippers of the Phrygian goddess Cybele." ([1]) "But rather than referencing the text that inspired Bernstein’s music – Plato’s Symposium on Love – Wheeldon conjures a more generic classical world of athletes, acolytes and lovers, presided over by Tierney Heap as an Amazonian goddess." ([2])
- ALT1:... that the ballet Corybantic Games marked the first time Erdem Moralıoğlu design for men? Source: "This week has been tied up with fittings for the ballet — a five-month project for which he is costuming 24 ballet dancers, including men for the very first time" ([3])
- Reviewed: Hideaway (U.S. Senate)
- Comment: None of the sources explicitly mentioned Greek mythology, but the first line of the Corybants (Korybantes) Wiki article mentions Greek mythology and the description matches the sources so I went with that. I think ALT1 has to be rephrased, just not sure how.
