Article looks good, recently improved five-fold, well-sourced, image is free and looks good. "Important Costa Rican writer" in the lead seems unsubstantiated to me. You could write up a sentence in the lead instead about his awards and honours. This is a problem for both hooks; no mention of Gutiérrez being "popular", and he only received awards in his homeland, so I'm not sure how that qualifies as "internationally recognized".
