Pickett in the 2019 AFL Grand Final Parade

• ... that Marlion Pickett (pictured) is the first Australian rules footballer to win a premiership in his AFL debut game since 1928? Source: 'Footy is home': Marlion Pickett's grand final debut
  • ALT1:... that Marlion Pickett (pictured) started this decade in jail, but finished it winning both a VFL and an AFL premiership in the same week?  Sources: see article

Created by The-Pope (talk). Self-nominated at 15:17, 28 September 2019 (UTC).

• Created within seven days of nomination, meets the length guidelines, is neutral and reliably referenced. QPQ provided. Hooks are interesting, short, neutral and reliable. Image is of the appropriate licence. Prefer the second hook; it has a spelling error in "in same the week" that will need to be addressed. MWright96 (talk) 16:25, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

• 16px Hi, I came by to promote this. I don't think ALT1 is appropriate for a main page appearance per BLP. The source for ALT0 says this record was from 1926, with an addendum at the bottom saying that 1928 was quoted in a previous version. Yoninah (talk) 18:40, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
