Mary Stuart Fisher
- ... that Mary Stuart Fisher, a professor of radiology, was discouraged from a career in medicine by her father, who was a physician himself? Source: "she overcame some reluctance from her father, himself a physician, to her decision to become a physician and not a nurse"

Hi, I came by to promote this, but it's unclear to me how she meets WP:BIO. Other than her write-up by the American Association for Women Radiologists, what did she do that is notable? (BTW that article speaks about a 50-year teaching career, which is not mentioned in the Wikipedia article.) Yoninah (talk) 20:28, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping I believe the article meets WP:GNG as shown by the sources. Feel free to nominate for AfD if you disagree. 97198 (talk) 07:13, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping please add her notability to the lead. Yoninah (talk) 19:34, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping There is no DYK rule requiring this and it is shameful that this DYK has been held up over a month over this trivial issue. Regardless, I have added a summary of one of her awards to the lead to make it more clear to the lazy reader that she is notable. —David Eppstein (talk) 23:42, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
