Nikolai Kulakov

  • ... that despite being demoted three times and prosecuting the former commander in chief of the Navy, Nikolai Kulakov still rose to the rank of vice admiral and became a Hero of the Soviet Union? Sources are in Russian, but for example "Кулакову принадлежит своеобразный рекорд – три раза быть пониженным в звании и три раза снова подниматься в должности" - "Kulakov has a kind of record - to be demoted three times and to rise again three times."
