Nikolai Kulakov
- ... that despite being demoted three times and prosecuting the former commander in chief of the Navy, Nikolai Kulakov still rose to the rank of vice admiral and became a Hero of the Soviet Union? Sources are in Russian, but for example "Кулакову принадлежит своеобразный рекорд – три раза быть пониженным в звании и три раза снова подниматься в должности" - "Kulakov has a kind of record - to be demoted three times and to rise again three times." Article is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. Hook is interesting and supported by Russian-language sources, accepted AGF. No copyvio concerns. QPQ is not required. Good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 04:05, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
Hi, I came by to promote this, but I don't understand why prosecuting the commander in chief is a bad thing. I think the hook would work better if you trim it, like this:- ALT0a: ... that despite being demoted three times, Nikolai Kulakov rose to the rank of vice admiral and became a Hero of the Soviet Union? - The alt is fine by me. The point is that as a naval officer, prosecuting your superior is not a great way to ingratiate yourself with the powers that be. Think if you prosecuted your boss, they probably wouldn't then be inclined to speed your promotion. I'm quite happy to have that trimmed though. Spokoyni (talk) 21:08, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
