Usage

This template should be placed on the main page of the article, in the "References" section near the bottom of the page (see WP:Plagiarism#Where to place attribution).

Method one: a named parameter

The template with a named parameter after a (pipe symbol and article name) that links to the associated article at Wikisource's Easton's Bible Dictionary:

{{EBD|wstitle=Abel-beth-maachah}} produces:
This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainEaston, Matthew George (1897). "Abel-beth-maachah". Easton's Bible Dictionary (New and revised ed.). T. Nelson and Sons.

Method two: piped

The template with one parameter (pipe symbol and article name) that links to the associated article at Wikisource's Easton's Bible Dictionary:

{{EBD|Abel-beth-maachah}} produces:
This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainEaston, Matthew George (1897). Easton's Bible Dictionary (New and revised ed.). T. Nelson and Sons. Missing or empty |title= (help)

This is depreciated, use the named parameter wstitle=name instead. This allows for future expansion of this template and compatibility with parameters used in {{Cite EBD}}.

Method three: plain

The template without any parameters:

{{EBD}} produces:
File:PD-icon.svg This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domainEaston, Matthew George (1897). Easton's Bible Dictionary (New and revised ed.). T. Nelson and Sons. Missing or empty |title= (help)

This is depreciated as it is not much use to readers to tell them that somewhere in the 4000+ entries of the EBD there is information they may be interested in. It is also a breach of the WP:CITE guideline.
