Usage

This template creates a reference to a species profile in the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS) of the United States Forest Service (USFS). It automatically creates a link using the type of life form, genus name, species name, and subspecies or variety name (if needed). To comply with the citation instructions given on the FEIS, please provide the date and author name.

By default, Citation Style 1 is used. Switch to Citation Style 2 using |mode=CS2.

The full list of values for |type=: amphibian, arthropod, bird, bryophyte, fern, forb, graminoid, lichens, mammal, reptile, shrub, tree, and vine. Note that lichens has to be plural; lichen generates an error.
