Irish pronunciation: [{{{1}}}]
Usage
This template formats IPA transcriptions and sound files and links them to Help:IPA/Irish. The transcription should match the conventions of that key; for narrower dialect transcriptions, use {{IPA-all}}, which links to a more complete IPA key.
The first cell in the template is for the transcription, and a second optional cell is a switch that controls the lede. With no second value, the lede Irish pronunciation: appears.
Several more switches, used for all IPA templates, are described below. In addition, IPA-ga has:
{{IPA-ga|o|mod}}→ Modern Irish pronunciation: [o]{{IPA-ga|o|langmod}}→ Modern Irish: [o]{{IPA-ga|o|Ulster}}→ Ulster Irish: [o]{{IPA-ga|o|Connacht}}→ Connacht Irish: [o]{{IPA-ga|o|Munster}}→ Munster Irish: [o]
which may be useful when contrasting with Old Irish pronunciations. (For Middle Irish and Old Irish, use the {{IPA-mga}} and {{IPA-sga}} templates.)
