Template:Inconsistent citations
Revision as of 17:02, 23 February 2018 by imported>Primefac (Changed protection level for "Template:Inconsistent citations": high-risk template with 2000+ transclusions ([Edit=Require template editor access] (indefinite) [Move=Require template editor access] (indefinite)))
Historically this template, {{Inconsistent citations}}, and the associated category were created to support a function of User:Citation bot. Citation bot no longer applies this template. Editors in recent years have applied this template as a maintenance tag on an article and as an indicator on specific citations. There is no consensus on use of this template today. There is a conversation on the matter here: Help talk:Citation Style 1/Archive 67#Inconsistent citation, Articles with inconsistent citation formats, and a historical function of Citation Bot, and this usage has largely stopped.
