Summary
DescriptionPolice Box.JPG
The TARDIS, a time-travelling machine disguised as a police box, as seen in the popular British science-fiction television series Doctor Who. This particular example is a fan-built replica. Taken by Paul Hayes in July 1999, and later scanned in and uploaded to Wikimedia by same.
This particular replica box is based upon an old series (1963-1989) Season 18 version of the TARDIS, known as the Yardley-Jones Box (because of its TV Prop designer Tom Yardley-Jones) by fans. This design of prop was used from the Season 18 (Fourth Doctor) through to the last season, number 26 with the Seventh Doctor.
