Required | Parameter | Description |
---|---|---|
* | name | the short title of the legal instrument as in Planning and Development Act, 2000. Don't link or format this as the template does that. |
* | year | The year the measure was enacted (as contained in the short title). |
* | number | All public acts, private acts and statutory instruments are assigned a number corresponding to the order in which they are enacted or made. For amendments to the 1937 Constitution the number should be the ordinal number of the amendment (without st, nd or rd). |
type |
| |
section article regulation rule order |
For referring to a principle numbered division of a legal instrument, if desired.
For acts and constitutional amendments this is always section' and using that parameter for them will produce a link to the corresponding section page at www.irishstatutebook. In contrast there principle numbered divisions of statutory instruments in nothing but clear. Conventionally regulations are divided into regulation, rules in rules and orders into orders—as in Rule 8 of the Medical Council Registration Rules 2011. However these is no consistency in this and sometimes they are divided into sections or article. | |
nothe=1 | To be used in conjunction with the previous attribute for legal instruments whose short title begins with The, to avoid "the The". |
