Template:Canadian election result/pickup/sandbox
|- style="background-color:white" | style="background:#DCDCDC; border-top:1px solid darkgray;"| |colspan=7 style="border-top:1px solid darkgray;"| pickup new district.
Explaination of changes:
Edited template to make the width adaptive to the number of columns used. Changed third line "|colspan=7", previously the number was 2 which spanned the first two columns (Party and Candidate). Changing to 7 enables the template to span the same number of columns as the header row, which is up to seven, similar to Template:Canelec/source.
Tested template on different lengths without issue. Further more the Template:CANelec/pickup is currently used on 183 pages, of which 24 our talk or duplicates. Low risk of issues with changes.
