Be aware that this sidebar template (and those based on it) does not display on the mobile version of Wikipedia, nor in the mobile app, which are how the majority of our readers view Wikipedia.
Usage
A full list of parameters is shown further below at All parameters. Simple usage:

This is the name of the template, e.g. Template:Handel would use "Handel" in this box. |

The title placed at the top, such as "Works by Richard Wagner" or "George Frideric Handel". The composer's name should be wikilinked by putting it in square brackets. |

Optional – filename of the image, without the File: or Image: prefix; if omitted, no image will be shown. |
|alt= |
Alt text for the image, for visually impaired readers. See Alternative text for images. |
|imagesize= |
Optional – size of the image, in the form 170px; defaults to 190px. |
|caption= |
Optional – caption for the image. |
|h1color= |
Optional – colour for the title box surrounding the composer's name, in hexadecimal form, e.g. #DDBB9F or a recognised colour name, e.g. silver; defaults to silver (=#C0C0C0): Works by Richard Wagner |

Optional – colour for the collapsed boxes (should usually be a lighter version of h1color); defaults to #DDDDDD: Operas |

Optional – see note above. |italic title=no can be used on pages which use this template but where the article title should not be italicised; if a page contains more than one use of this template, the article title will be italicised unless all templates specify this parameter. |italic title=force can be used to force italics for the whole article title, including parentheses, or to enable italics for article titles longer than 50 characters; see {{italic title}}. For more complicated forms of italicising the article title, see the magic word {{DISPLAYTITLE:…}} .When this parameter is needed to disable italicising the article title of a page where a specific composer's template, say {{Bellini operas}}, is used, it needs to be specified in that template in the form italic title={{{italic title|}}} .
