Campaign for Economic Democracy
- ... that Tom Hayden (pictured) used his Campaign for Economic Democracy to help pass a rent control measure in Santa Monica, California? The Los Angeles Times source wrote, "The group’s biggest victory came in 1979 when CED helped engineer passage of the city’s rugged rent control law by providing a considerable amount of manpower, money and political expertise."
