Template:HonHeads/doc
| This is a documentation subpage for Template:HonHeads. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
Produces a flag icon attached to a wiki-linked "List of honours of Country awarded to heads of state and royals" under the name of the country or component of a country.
But, despite the use of an other link for purpose of the template, the use of {{flagicon}} in the formula allows to reach the country page by clicking on the flag.
It is designed to be used in the "Honours" section of the biographical page of a head of state or a member of a royal family in order to link to the corresponding summary page where the honorific order should be added too.
- Exceptions
As an exception, the template {{HonHeadsUK}} should be used for orders awarded by the British Crown to connect to the page : List of honours of the British Crown awarded to heads of state and royals (see pages for the details of the concerned orders)
- Syntax
- {{HonHeads|nation|variant|name=x}}
- Parameters
-
|nation=– Use either ONLY the name of the nation (not the three-letter ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country code)|variant=(optional) – Specifies an alternate (historical) naval flag to use.
