Italian dialectal pronunciation: [{{{1}}}]
Usage
This template formats IPA transcriptions and links them to Help:IPA/Italian dialects. The transcription should match the conventions of that key.
The first cell in the template is for the transcription, and a second optional cell is a switch that controls the lede. With no second value, the lead Italian dialectal pronunciation: appears:
{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja}}→ Italian dialectal pronunciation: [iˈθaːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja|pron}}→ pronounced [iˈθaːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja|lang}}→ locally [iˈθaːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja|tusc}}→ Tuscan pronunciation: [iˈθaːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈt̬aːlja|rome}}→ Romanesco pronunciation: [iˈt̬aːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja|local}}→ locally [iˈθaːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja|IPA}}→ IPA: [iˈθaːlja]{{IPA-itdia|iˈθaːlja|}}→ [iˈθaːlja]
Any of these may be combined with a sound file in an optional third cell:
For the default lead, however, a placeholder such as ‹-› is required in the second cell:
