Usage
- Used to display box scores and statistics for IndyCar races and other automobile races for similar formulas.
- Created primarily for use first in the article 2012 IndyCar Series season. It may be retro-fitted to previous IndyCar Series season articles, as well as other similar forms of racing.
Parameters
Parameter | Explanation | Notes |
---|---|---|
Type | Designates the type of way to present the top three finishers. Typically, the road course races call it the "Podium Finishers." Whereas Indianapolis and Texas in particular refer to them as the "Top Three Finishers." The acceptable inputs are either "PODIUM" or "THREE" | Required |
bg | Designates the background color. | Optional |
bg2 | Designates a different background color for the collapsable game summary rows. | Optional |
titlestyle | Designates format for a title bar (e.g., bar color, text alignment, font color). Suggest using official IZOD IndyCar Series colors (background = #EE0033, font color = white) | |
state | Designates the default state of the collapsable row [autocollapse, uncollapsed, collapsed, plain, off ]. Suggest using "collapsed" at all times due to the fact that there are 15-17 race boxes per season on the season pages.

wikiracearticle | Wiki link to the overall race article of the event in question. Specifically not the race report, but the article which lists the race history and past winners. Through either the article name or piping, this should match the "title" above. The backets ([[) and (]]) are left out of the automatic syntax in order to allow for piping. | Required |
track | The race track, speedway, or temporary racing circuit where the race is being held. | Required |
city | The city, state, county (or city, county if outside the U.S.) where the race track is located. | Required |
tracktype | The type of circuit the race is being held on (e.g., oval, road course, street circuit, or similar descriptive variation) | Required |
onelapmi | The distance in miles for one lap around the track | Required |
laps | The total number of laps to complete the race (advertised distance) | Required |
miles | The race distance in miles (advertised distance) | Required |
weather | The observed weather conditions for the race; should be place-marked with "TBA" until official report is published. | Required |
pole | The winner of the pole position for the race (required only after the pole winner has been determined) | |
attendance | The announced attendance for the event; should be place-marked with "TBA" until official report is published. | |
wikireport | Wiki link for the full race report article (required only after race has been completed) | |
textsummary | A brief but concise text summary, in prose form, of the highlights of the race. (required only after race has been completed) | |
leadchanges | The number of lead changes during the race - standard format would be: "X lead changes between X drivers" (required only after race has been completed) | |

yellows | The number of caution periods during the race - standard format would be: "X cautions for X laps" or "None" (required only after race has been completed) | |

tvnetwork | Television network in the U.S. broadcasting the race | |
booth | Television Host(s), play-by-play announcer(s) and booth analyst(s) | |

ratings | Nielsen television ratings of the race telecast. Includes, but not limited to, overnight ratings, final ratings, viewers, households, etc.; should be place-marked with "TBA" until official report is published. | |
