Usage
- This template is missing radar systems, used by Cassini, several Venus missions and several other related missions. They would need to be added at the top for alphabetical reasons.
- Even though Mariners 4 and 5 used a helium magnetometer, it was a triaxial and not a helium vapor.
- The Cassini-Huygens magnetometer is both a triaxial (vector) and helium (general field).
- IRIS (Infrared Interferometer Spectrometer and Radiometer) is both a radiometer and IR spectrometer.
- SPICAM, SPICAV and MASCS (MESSENGER Atmosphere and Spectometer Surface Composition) are both a visible-IR and UV-visible spectrometer. SPICAV has a special infrared version of a radio science (radio occultation) spectrometer that is designed to detect the interference of Venus's atmosphere as that satellite passes behind Venus relative to the Sun.
- ASPERA (Analyzer of Space Plasmas and Energetic Atoms) -3 and 4 are a Neutral Particle Imager (NPI), Neutral Particle Detector (NPD), Electron Spectrometer (ELS), and Ion Mass Analyzer (IMA)
- SPS (Solar Plasma Spectrometer) is both a neutral particle and ion detector.
