Follain
Founded by Tara Foley in 2013, Follain is a natural and organic beauty shops. They curate only the best non-toxic products on follain.com and in a growing number of stores across the country.[1]
While working at law firm, Foley was inspired to launch a blog called the Naturalchemyst, and the response showed her how many people wanted to find effective, nontoxic options. Three retail locations, and an e-commerce site later, Foley's Follain is aiming to be the Sephora of green beauty products. Follain’s mission is to create change in the beauty industry, and act as a platform for the innovative makers in the beauty space to meet conscious consumers. [2]

Anti-racism commitment
Follain declare that they do not tolerate racism of any kind. To make an impact as a business in a long-term, they isolated five areas where they promise to hold themselves accountable going forward, through regular company-wide assessments.
Commit shelf space to diverse brand founders
Follain are joining the pledge to commit at least 15% of their shelf space to Black-owned brands, and as part of that, at least 20% to BIPOC brands. The mentoring, testing, training, marketing, and promotion of more diverse brands will have a sweeping impact at Follain and throughout clean beauty.[3]
Amplify & support organizations working toward racial equity in environmental health & wellness
The BIPOC community is more adversely impacted and targeted by unsafe ingredients in beauty and personal care products. Follain will amplify and support the organizations focused on education and change in this arena.[3]
Diversify marketing partneships
Follain will continue to expand their creator, influencer, model, and other partnerships on all channels, amplifying inclusive content and events in our stores and online.[3]
Diversify team recruiting
They will deliberately and proactively source diverse candidates for all future open roles across the organization, from internships to leadership positions.[3]
Commit to bias training & education
Follain will hold mandatory team trainings on anti-racism, allyship, and unconscious biases, and ensure they are well-positioned to communicate with and serve all.[3]
